sometime to get a job.

I'm a nice person, and I work hard. But that's still not enough to get past these things, ESPECIALLY when they ask the SAME question 6 times in a row. Just once is enough. . If you're lucky enough you might be able to find the answers online, though.

it's precisely because you get frustrated about getting asked the same question 6 times in a row. In a job that requires one of those tests, you will deal with a lot dumber things, and you can't let it get to you.

I hear ya, I'm in the same boat looking for a new job, and having to deal with these stoopit tests. Some of the questions amaze me - On one test I was asked about 10 questions regarding my views on stealing from the company.

Also, the reason they ask the same question 6 times is to see if you answer it the same way. If you don't, it could be a sign that you're trying to game the system.

Just think, as soon as you figure out how to pass the tests, you'll get to sit and answer "Tell me about a time...." questions in person!

It's fine If I'm ACTUALLY WORKING AND GETTING PAID, but to do it at the very early end of a job application spending an hour to complete it when you're busy applying to other jobs, it's completely different!

Applying for jobs is already a full-time job.

You don't need a certain personality to install microwave ovens and custom kitchen deliveries :p

They do blow, but while I was at Xerox I saw a massive difference after they started using Evolv. Way fewer people got through who were a total misfit for the position and a waste of both the candidate and interviewer's time. I dunno, may be a necessary evil.

This and the 3 preliminary "pulse" phone interviews. And then the inevitable "you just don't have enough experience" schtick.
